Terms of use

Last updated: 20 October 2026. These terms apply when you use www.edgebefore.com, buy anything from us, or subscribe to our emails. Please read them with our Privacy Policy, Refund & Cancellation Policy and Delivery Policy.

1. Who we are

This website and the services sold on it are provided by the seller registered as EdgeBefore (“EdgeBefore”, “we”, “us”), based in India. Email: info@edgebefore.com. Grievance Officer: grievance@edgebefore.com. We offer live Buildathons, workshops, cohort programs, advisory services, AI news pages and a newsletter. By using the site or buying from us you agree to these terms.

2. Who can buy

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding contract under Indian law to buy from us or to submit your details. If you buy for a team or firm, you confirm you are authorised to do so and that each attendee has agreed to these terms.

3. Education only, not professional advice

Our sessions, materials, newsletter and AI news pages are for education and information. Nothing we provide is legal, financial, investment, tax or other professional advice, and no lawyer-client or adviser-client relationship is created. Get advice from a qualified professional before acting on anything you learn here.

4. AI tools and your responsibilities

AI tools can produce wrong, incomplete or biased output. You are responsible for checking outputs before relying on them, for keeping client and confidential information out of tools you are not permitted to use, and for following the terms of every third-party platform you use. In our sessions please use sample or synthetic data only.

5. Prices, taxes and payment

  • Total price. Prices are shown in Indian rupees (INR). The price shown at checkout is the total you pay: we do not add GST, convenience fees or any other charge on top.
  • Early-bird prices. Where an early-bird price is shown, it ends at the real date and time shown on the event page (Indian Standard Time). After that, the regular price applies. We do not extend or restart deadlines to create pressure, and we only show a “seats left” number when it is a real count.
  • International buyers. You may pay by PayPal in US dollars. The USD amount is the INR price divided by 85 and rounded up to the next whole dollar. PayPal or your bank may add its own conversion fees, which we do not control or receive.
  • Payment processors. Payments in India are processed by Razorpay and international payments by PayPal, on their own secure pages and under their own terms. We never see or store your full card, UPI or bank details.
  • Team and firm passes. These are priced per seat, and the total for your number of seats is confirmed before you pay.
  • Confirmation. Your seat or purchase is confirmed only when payment succeeds. If a price shown on the site is plainly wrong (for example a typing error), we will tell you before delivery and you may cancel for a full refund.

6. Cancellations, refunds and delivery

Cancellations, refunds, seat transfers, the Ship-it Guarantee and what happens if we cancel or reschedule are set out in our Refund & Cancellation Policy. How and when you receive access is set out in our Delivery Policy. Everything we sell is delivered online; nothing is shipped.

7. Events and changes

We run events on the dates and times shown (IST). We may change a session's order, a speaker, a tool or a platform where needed, as long as the event remains substantially as described. If we cancel an event or move its date, you can choose a full refund, as our refund policy explains. Replays, support periods and certificates of completion are provided as described on each event page.

8. Buildathon and workshop code of conduct

  • Be respectful. No harassment, discrimination, threats, sexual content or intimidation of anyone, in sessions, chats or community groups.
  • Do not share joining links, recordings or materials, and do not share anyone else's personal data or confidential information.
  • Do not build or share anything unlawful, deceptive, infringing or harmful, including spam tools or tools that break a platform's rules.
  • Do not post promotions or spam in our channels.

If someone breaks this code we may warn them or remove them from the session or community. Where removal is for serious misconduct, no refund is due. You can report a concern to grievance@edgebefore.com.

9. Recordings and photos

Live online sessions are recorded so attendees can watch replays. Your name, voice, video and chat messages may appear in the recording if you turn them on or post them; keep your camera and microphone off if you prefer not to appear. Recordings are shared only with attendees of that event. We will not use your image, voice or project in our marketing unless you give separate, specific permission, which you can withdraw at any time for future use.

10. Intellectual property

  • Our materials. Slides, recordings, templates, starter files, worksheets and site content belong to EdgeBefore or its licensors. When you buy, you get a personal, non-transferable licence to use them for your own learning and your own projects. You may not resell, republish or share them.
  • Your work. You own what you build at a Buildathon or workshop, including your code, content, designs and submissions. We do not claim any rights in it. Starter files and templates you build on stay subject to our licence above, and third-party tools stay subject to their own licences.
  • Prizes. We do not currently offer prizes. If we ever do, the eligibility, judging and prize terms will be published before the event.

11. AI news pages and the newsletter

The AI Track and Legal AI Track pages and The Edge Brief newsletter collect headlines automatically from publishers' public RSS feeds. For each item we show only the headline, the publisher's name and a short excerpt, and we always link to the original article. This is for reporting current events, and all rights stay with the publisher. We do not write, verify or endorse these items, they may be inaccurate or out of date, and they are not legal, financial or investment advice.

If you are a publisher or rights holder and want an item or your feed removed, or you believe an item is unlawful, write to grievance@edgebefore.com. We acknowledge within 24 hours, resolve within 15 days, and remove content within 36 hours of a valid court or government order.

12. Acceptable use of the site

Do not misuse the site: no attempts to break its security, overload it, scrape it at scale, submit false details or someone else's details, or use our forms for spam. We do not sell, and our payment links may not be used to pay for, anything that the law or our payment processors' policies prohibit.

13. Third-party names and services

Product and company names (for example Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Grok, OpenClaw and Cursor) belong to their owners and are used only to describe what we teach. EdgeBefore is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any of them. Links to other sites, payment pages and community platforms (WhatsApp, Telegram, X) are governed by their own terms.

14. No promised results

We teach skills and help you build working projects. We do not promise any job, income, clients, followers, sales, exam result or business outcome. The Ship-it Guarantee is limited to the conditions set out in our refund policy.

15. Limitation of liability

We provide our services with reasonable skill and care. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of profits, data or opportunity, and our total liability for any claim about a purchase is limited to the amount you paid for it. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.

16. Indemnity

If someone brings a claim against us because of content you upload or share, something you build and publish, or your breach of these terms or the law, you agree to cover our reasonable losses and costs from that claim. This does not apply to the extent the claim is caused by us.

17. Emails from us

We send service emails about things you bought. Marketing emails, including The Edge Brief, go only to people who confirmed by double opt-in. Each one identifies EdgeBefore as the sender, has an accurate subject line, and contains a one-click unsubscribe link that we honour straight away.

18. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. Changes do not affect a purchase already made, which stays under the terms that applied when you paid.

19. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Please contact us first so we can try to resolve any issue. Subject to that, the courts at Mumbai, Maharashtra have jurisdiction. This does not take away your right as a consumer to approach the Consumer Commission or any other forum available to you by law.

20. Contact

Questions about these terms: info@edgebefore.com or our contact page.
